Lil critters!

I love little critters and such! They're just super good and wonderful, and I wish I could keep some as pets.

Mustelidae

I love basically every species within the Mustelidae family! The family is further split into two subfamilies, each with their own range of species.

The raccoon (Procyon lotor) is a super cute mammal. They're big fluffy crime critters, and I love them so much. Not everyone likes raccoons, but I don't know why because they're precious soft babies with little grabby paws and cute masks. They're just so good!

There are over twenty subspecies of raccoon, ranging from Northern Canada to Panama. The Eastern raccoon, P. l. lotor, is the most common.

The word “raccoon” itself was derived from the Powhatan name, recorded seperately as aroughcun and arathkone.

Possums

Possums are super cutie marsupials, specifically of the order Didelphimorphia.

Possums are naturally resistant to rabies, and are very helpful by eating ticks.
